Mike, Molly and Vows that cannot be broken.

Sorry this post has been so long in coming. The truth is I'm still not sure where to start. Let me start with the best part of my life over the last few weeks and one of the best moments of my life. Kristin, along with our friends David and Ken, surprised me at Disneyland with a ceremony to renew our vows.

David performs the ceremony, Kristin cries, I rejoice. Ken? He's taking the picture.
It's something I really wanted to do before time ran out. I desperately longed to share vows with Kristin one more time. It's not that there was anything wrong with the first time. Our love is just such a miracle and gift of God for me that I wanted to vow my love to her one more time. If I didn't feel like it would be too much, and it would, I'd do it every day. I guess, in a way, I do. So does she. So with Walt, Mickey and various other bronze characters as witnesses, we said our vows once more. It was the most special moment of my romantic life.
"I, Aaron, give to you, Kristin, a new promise and a new affirmation of love from the heart that loves you and will love you for as long as God allows. Kristin, you are my heart, my best friend, my life. Today, I renew my commitment to you. I promise to love and cherish you, respect you and grow with you for every moment we have. This is my solemn vow."
God gave us a truly miraculous trip. On the 19th of January we started the day with a tour of the Warner Bros. studios. It's a great tour. It's an actual tour, unlike the ride at Universal Studios. We traveled the back-lot, walked on side-walks that have been shared by Spider-Man, The Gilmore Girls, Friends... etc. I had my picture taken on the "courthouse steps" which have been many things including the front steps to Commissioner Gordon's office in the original Batman TV series and the opening scene of Night Court. The tour ends at the Warner Bros. museum where, unfortunately, no pictures are allowed. I say, "unfortunately", because we were graced with a visit from Angelina Jolie, one of her sons and what I assume is a friend. Kristin approached Miss Jolie, offered, and explained our Choose Joy! bracelets. Miss Jolie took the bracelet, put it on and said, "It would be my honor." What a special experience.

We had been invited by our friend Rondi Reed to attend a taping of the sitcom she's in, and one of our favorites, Mike & Molly that evening. She loaned us her house for the afternoon to rest and recuperate before the show. We went and thoroughly enjoyed the taping. After, she invited us "backstage" where we met, and spent some time with, the cast and crew. Rondi has been an angel to us and this was certainly one of the highlights of the trip. Two of my favorite photos from the show are below:
Rondi, in costume as Peggy (Mike's Mom), Kristin & I pose for a photo.
I'm still not sure why Kristin's so mad. LOL.
Reno Wilson, who plays Mike's partner "Carl",
was running backstage, tripped on some carpet and flew into my arms.
The real purpose of this trip was to say goodbye to David. Hopefully this won't be the last time we see him, but if it is, at least I was able to say goodbye.

There's more. Much more. But, to be honest, I still haven't processed it all yet. I'm not sure I can. It was a wonderful trip with my wife and best friend.

Now? My parents have moved in with us. It helps us all financially. My Mom retires on Tuesday. All this change. I know change is a constant. It's just never been this constant.

That's all... for now. If you're on facebook and have any connection to me you can see more of my trip photos here: http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=355776&id=541437994&l=1962ac8a6a
