How freakin' amaZing is God!

I gave notice at InstaPrint on Yesterday.

God is opening up new and outrageous doors. Kristin and I are in the process of walking through them.

Pastor Mike's sermon (www.northparkweb.org) on Sunday was so appropriate for what is going on in mine, and so many, lives! We truly need to be reminded that God is for us. He has a plan for us that is amazing. Yes, sometimes life still sucks. But some of my favorite movies are the ones where you have to struggle through part of the story to get to this incredible ending.

Last week I paraphrased to a friend, "If God is for you, then who can be against you." His response rocked me. "It doesn't matter." It's so true! I can't say that no one is against me. But I can say that it doesn't matter. God is for me.

This week we're moving to a new shop. It's scary and stupendous and is requiring a huge amount of faith. I've also got an improv show at the U of O. It's been a while but some friends and I shook off the "ring rust" last night and I think it's going to be great. Maybe God has a plan for this comedy thing too? I keep thinking he does but can't see where it's going.

I know I'm rambling a little. But I've got so many thoughts and praises. So I'll end with this ramble:

This morning on the radio I heard a pastor say something to the effect of, "God will light your way. But God doesn't say, 'I'll turn on the light so you can see everything in front of you.' God says, 'Start walking and I'll light the path as you go.'"

I'm walking.

I have heard (but not researched for myself) that when the Psalmist wrote, "Your word is a lamp for my feet and a light to my path," what he had in mind was a light source that lit the next step or two, but not fifty yards ahead. Maybe if we saw that far ahead, we would choose to take the next off ramp or sit down by the side of the road.
